The hailing of Nigeria's corruption
It has been known to all modern Nigerians that corruption of all forms has been in the artery of the country. Come to look at it, the country Nigeria has become a country that depends on connection and if you're not connected you can't be selected. Nigeria has drained in jeopardy of progress. It has now being a normality in our mentality that if you have no strong bone at your back, you will just be in a deep drench where no one will see your glory. Right of the masses is now deprived from them in return of empty. All these have a source which is not far fetching.
The situation Nigeria is into can be traced from the amalgamation of southern and northern protectorate in the year 1914 by Lord Frederick lugard. Come to think of it, within the southern protectorate, we have two different region, that is, western and east region, of which they have different historical background, cultures, norms and traditions. Not to talk of the northern protectorate White was amalgamated with. All these only mark the beginning of Nigeria's collapse. Not only that but the introduction of different constitution which worsen all.
Nigeria started with a deficient constitution under the umbrella of colonialism. Starting from the Nigeria constitution on the arm of lord lugard down to the 1999 constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria. The lugard (Nigeria constitution),Clifford, Richard, MacPherson, Lyttleton constitution has put the northerners ahead the southern region in all ramifications. Not only about that,we are colonised with but unitary and parliamentary system but we forgone that to adopt federal system. Shame on us the giant of Africa killed by the ants of Nigeria.
It's high time we stood to heal the defects inscribed on us by the colonialists. We ought to move beyond the speed of light so as to dig up the glossy glory of our great nation which has been buried by the colonialists.
